A detailed, honest summary of what we store, why, and who else sees it. Last updated August 2026.
What we record per click
Timestamp, referrer, country (from your hosting provider's edge network, not a third-party lookup), device type (mobile/desktop/tablet), browser, and whether it looked like a bot. We don't store IP addresses or any other visitor identifier — there's no way to trace a click back to a specific person from our database.
Your account data
Email, password (hashed by our auth provider, never stored in plain text), your plan, and an optional profile photo. Your email is used only for authentication and account notices — we don't sell it or use it for marketing you didn't ask for.
Profile photos
If you upload a profile photo, it's stored with our storage provider (Supabase Storage) in a bucket that serves images over a public URL — meaning anyone who has that exact URL can view the image, though it's never listed, indexed, or linked anywhere publicly. Uploads are restricted to PNG/JPEG/WebP under 2MB, enforced by the storage provider itself, not just our upload form. You can replace or remove your photo anytime from Settings.
What we don't do
No cross-site tracking, no ad-platform pixels, no selling data to third parties. Your link and click data is yours.
Data retention and deletion
Deleting a link immediately and permanently deletes every click recorded against it — there's no soft-delete or recovery window. Account data is kept for as long as your account is active; contact us if you'd like your account and all associated data removed entirely.
Who else processes your data
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers rather than building everything ourselves: Supabase for authentication, our database, and file storage, and Lemon Squeezy for billing and payment processing on paid plans. We don't use analytics or advertising third parties on this app.
Cookies and sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in — that's it. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your options
Export your click data as CSV or a printable report anytime from Dashboard → Export (Pro plans). Delete any link — and its data — anytime from your dashboard. Replace or remove your profile photo anytime from Settings. For anything else, including full account deletion, reach us at support@linkzen.site.
